Pablo Escobar’s Brother Says Bitcoin Is A US Government Conspiracy

Who created Bitcoin? Well, no one really knows. However, some have their theories, no matter how outlandish they may be. With that said, there is one theory coming out that takes the cake as the most interesting one I’ve seen yet. According to a late Colombian drug lord’s brother, the United States government is behind Bitcoin, and it’s not a good thing.

Pablo Escobar’s Brother Suggests That The US Government Created Bitcoin

As mentioned above, recent news is breaking surrounding the potential founder of the world’s most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin. That’s because according to the Pablo Escobar’s brother, Roberto Escobar, the United States was the creator of Bitcoin. That’s right, the brother of one of the world’s most well known drug lords is claiming that the United States government is smack dab in the middle of a cryptocurrency conspiracy.

The United States Isn’t Behind Bitcoin

While I have no idea who invented bitcoin, I can say that I’m pretty sure that the United States government isn’t behind the digital currency. The story just doesn’t make sense. However, when you look into Rorberto Escobar’s motivation for creating such a rumor, we can see clearly why this was done.

Along with his announcement that the United States government was supposedly the creator of bitcoin, Escobar claimed that bitcoin would soon crash because as the world found out that the US government was involved, the CIA would start selling their bitcoin holdings in an attempt to cover their tracks. So, Escobar is essentially looking to make bitcoin values crash and lead to questions about the legitimacy of the cryptocurrency.

At the same time, Escobar is in the process of launching his own cryptourrency known as dietbitcoin. Trading on the exchanges as DDX, dietbitoin was created as a hard fork of bitcoin. So, by grabbing the world’s attention with shocking statements, Roberto is essentially getting free marketing for his IPO. Here are some of the outlandish claims that he recently made in a book available for download at

I am the first person in the world, Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria, to publicly come out and claim that Bitcoin was created by the American Government, and I am not going to be the last person to say this.

…when the CIA founds out that the world knows about this, the CIA is going to sell all of their coins, and they will destroy the value of Bitcoin.

Ultimately, Escobar says that he launched dietcoin as an option for the masses to pick up a rebellion against the United States government-created Bitcoin. With claims that the United States government is tracking all bitcoin transactions, Escobar is essentially working to use fear to take control of the cryptocurrency market.

Final Thoughts

While Roberto Escobar claims that the United States government is the creator of bitcoin, these claims lack validity. At the end of the day, the goal of the campaign to spread this lie is relatively simple and blatantly transparent. With a vested interest in his own cryptocurrency, dietcoin, Escobar seems to be making an attempt to scare people into using his cryptocurrency alternative. I’m not sure this is going to work out to well.
